Lake Whitingham estate Cottage. Amazing lake views. Semi-priv beach. Skiing @ Mt Snow

This was our 2nd time renting one of Emilio's properties. This was the Lake Whittingham Estate cottage. This property was amazing! Great location with Lake access. House is beautiful, decor was outstanding, very clean, modern, etc. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of room. 3 floors, 3.5 bathrooms and great views. We even met the owners who were as nice and welcoming as anyone could be. Would definitely rent this property again.

"The house has the appearance of an old-school cottage, but it boasts all the modern first-class features, including an updated open concept kitchen with plenty of space to hang out and enjoy the large windows overlooking the lake below. The basement is a perfect open space for the kids, equipped with a large screen TV, foosball table, and a walkout to the backyard. The semi-private beach, which is actually totally private, is an amazing section of the lake - wide open and clean. Although some other houses in the area have access to the lake at this location, everyone was very friendly. The house was perfect for my family of 5 with young kids. We also had family in the area, and we were easily able to barbecue and enjoy the lake together with a group of 12. The only drawback is that the walk down to the lake is down a steep path, which can be a bit of a struggle for the elderly or very young. For everyone else, it's a good workout."

The rental home and location provided us with the perfect opportunity to getaway, relax and have quality time together. The home is well thought out and beautifully appointed, super clean and very comfortable in every way. The drive into the lake property with the surrounding views were exciting and very peaceful. We researched the area history of Lake Whitingham/Harriman Reservoir, the Gloryhole Spillway and the site of the flooded/buried city of Mountain Mills and visited each. A plus we found many quaint beautiful shops in Whitingham and the area drive had plenty of amazing views to see. We vacationed early November and it felt like only we existed since no one else seemed to be around. Amilio our host went above and beyond to accommodate our rather last minute visit to the area. So appreciated! We will definitely consider returning to vacation at the home in the future. PB
